6 years and counting...

I can hardly believe it, but this month, six years ago I made my way down to Auburn University for new student orientation. WAR EAGLE! I was supposed to go to the first session because of the Equestrian team, but I signed up too late and had to go to a later one in June. And I am so glad I did... because I met the love of my life! As most of you know, Ryan and I met at Camp War Eagle!! I would have never thought I'd meet my future husband in my small group at CWE! And one of my bridesmaids -- love you Kristin!! So of course I was excited to go to Auburn after meeting a cute boy in my group! We actually only lived 20 minutes from each other (Madison/Huntsville), so we started hanging out that summer too. It has been a GREAT six years and I am so thankful to have such a wonderful husband! Here are some old (and new) photos I was able to scrounge up... enjoy!

Arrington Vineyards

Arrington Vineyards is a beautiful winery about 25 miles south of Nashville. Saturday night our friends and us decided to head that way for a relaxing picnic with music and wine. When we got there it was already packed, so luckily Meg brought a huge blanket to spread on the lawn. We came equip with picnic dinners - cheese (drunken goat was included- our favorite!) and crackers, grapes, pecans (from my parents backyard), dried cranberries, chicken salad sandwiches, chips, and Natasha's cheese cakes with fresh strawberries for dessert. We had quite a spread! It was a perfect night to spend outside. This was mine and Ryan's second time at Arrington and we will most definitely be back again!

Memorial Day Madness

Thursday after work Ryan and I headed south for a long weekend. We stayed with my sister in Montgomery Thursday night (thanks sis!) then after an early breakfast we were off to the beach! Ryan and I along with over 20 other Auburn friends spent Memorial Day weekend in Destin, Florida! It was a split trip - girl and guys. We all stayed at Seascape sharing the same beach front but were in different condo buildings. Although no one was optimistic about the weather when we were traveling down we actually lucked out! We spent all afternoon on the beach Saturday and Sunday.

Friday night started off right with hot dogs from the Hill's :) as we waited for everyone to get into town. We then headed down to Baytowne Wharf to none other than Rum Runners.

Saturday night -- it's ladies night! The girls went to dinner at Harbor Docks. Yuuum.
