Steeplechase 2009

This was mine and Ryan's 5th year attending the Iroquois Steeplechase at Percy Warner Park in Nashville. It has proven year after year to be a heck of a good time! This year was no different, besides all the mud, of course! It must have rained for at least 8 days straight leading up to the steeplechase! But, that didn't stop us! And neither did any of the warnings that said you're screwed if you don't have four wheel drive. We did get stuck but we eventually made it to our spots. Our fellow steeplechase crowd has grown with each year. This year we topped off at 4 spots and 58 friends to fill them! ALWAYS a good time!

Bringing a little piece of college to Nashville

I've don't think I've ever seen Ryan so proud...

Ryan worked long and hard on this masterpiece of a beer pong table. It even folds up! Can't get any better than half AUBURN, half TITANS! Although it was hoping to make an appearance this year at Steeplechase, unfortunately beer pong tables were banned (specifically) from the infield. Bummer. But don't worry we broke it in the night before at our cookout! And we have two spots of dead grass to prove it!

New House, New Chapter

Ryan and I have now moved THREE times in only 2 years. Only two short weeks ago we moved to Sylvan Park, a super cute neighborhood in west Nashville. Although I was skeptical about this third house, I have to say it has really grown on me. This is the first time Ryan and I have lived in a whole house, not a duplex. It quaint and homey and I love it. It is 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and the main reason for the move was the fenced backyard! Sooo, we're going to get a dog this fall!!
Friends- get ready for cookouts all summer long! The grill is set up, table umbrella bought, corn hole in place, and there is talk of badminton! SUMMER FUN HERE WE COME!
